Jharkhand’s Robust Financial Management Strengthens State, Hemant Soren Affirms

Ranchi, EW News: Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed the third phase of the “Your Plan-Your Government-Your Doorstep” campaign in Pakur today, highlighting the effective and successful impact of the program aimed at reaching government services and schemes to the doorsteps of the impoverished and needy. The state’s financial system, underlining the success of various schemes, is becoming a model for several states across the nation.

After the formation of a separate state, the last two decades saw little seriousness in addressing public issues and alleviating people’s concerns. However, the current government is not only extending fundamental facilities to the last person in society but also actively solving their problems. Chief Minister Soren emphasized that the government is formulating action plans aligned with the hopes and aspirations of the public, covering a wide spectrum of citizens, including tribals, Dalits, the marginalized, farmers, laborers, students, youth, women, and the elderly.

The Chief Minister expressed a shift in bureaucratic mindset, with officials reaching villages, actively listening to people’s problems, and working towards solutions. He encouraged people to actively engage with government schemes and become self-reliant.

Highlighting the government’s focus on quality education and employment for the youth, Chief Minister Soren mentioned initiatives like opening Schools of Excellence for children in government schools, establishing model schools, renovating hostels, and providing financial assistance for competitive exams, medical, engineering, and other courses. Additionally, the government is working on the Chief Minister’s Self-Employment Scheme to provide economic support to young individuals interested in entrepreneurship.

In a significant event, Chief Minister Soren inaugurated 21 schemes constructed at a cost of INR 66.76 crore, laying the foundation for 97 more schemes. The total expenditure on these projects is estimated to be INR 87.04 crore. This effort brings forth a gift of 118 schemes worth INR 153.81 crore for the residents of Pakur. The Chief Minister handed over assets worth INR 126.94 crore to 9942 beneficiaries, contributing to their empowerment and self-sufficiency.

Various dignitaries, including Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam, Labor Minister Satyanand Bhokta, MP Vijay Hansdak, MLA Stephen Marandi, and others, graced the occasion, emphasizing the commitment of the government to rural development and empowerment.
