Ranchi: On January 5, a review meeting related to the preparations for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 was organized in the conference hall of the Collectorate Block-A, chaired by District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi, Mr. Rahul Kumar Sinha. He provided several necessary directives to all concerned officials.
The meeting was attended by officials such as the Election Registration Officer-cum-Subdivisional Officer, Bundu 65, Tamar Assembly Constituency, Mr. Sandeep Kumar Topno; the Special Observer-cum-Election Registration Officer-66, Mandar, Ranchi, Mr. Pradeep Bhagat; Deputy Election Officer, Ranchi, Mr. Vivek Suman; District Public Relations Officer, Ranchi, Dr. Prabhat Shankar, and representatives from all recognized political parties.
In view of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, from January 10 to February 19, 2024, mobile vans will be used to educate voters and demonstrate EVM VV PAT. These vans will visit each polling station, allowing voters to familiarize themselves with the voting process, including casting a dummy vote. Each polling station will also have an EVM VV PAT demonstration. During these demonstrations, district officials, BLOs, BLO Supervisors, Sector Officers, and Sector Police Officers will be present.
The functioning of EVM VV PAT can be observed at EVM Demonstration Centers located in the offices of the Collectorate Blocks A, B, and Bundu.
District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi, Mr. Rahul Kumar Sinha informed all representatives of recognized political parties that the claims/complaints deadline has been extended to January 12, 2024. The final publication date for the voter list has been set for January 22, 2024. Eligible individuals can add their names to the voter list by contacting their BLO or applying online. Changes can be made as necessary.
Mr. Rahul Kumar Sinha, District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi, appealed to all political party representatives to actively participate in the elections to ensure unbiased polling.
