Ranchi EW News: Under the directives of Chief Electoral Officer Shri K. Ravi Kumar, a three-day training program was organized for Executive Magistrates, BDOs, CEOs, and CDPOs from all districts in preparation for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. The training, held from Tuesday, February 27 to Thursday, February 29, took place at the Jharkhand Education Project auditorium. Over 500 officials participated, receiving both theoretical and practical training essential for their roles during the electoral process.
During the workshop, various topics such as postal ballots, polling center management, sectoral officer responsibilities, IT applications, and misinformation dissemination were extensively covered. Additionally, Chief Electoral Officer emphasized the importance of executing responsibilities diligently, stressing that no errors are permissible during the election process.
Furthermore, instructions were issued to launch the #IamVerifiedVoter campaign starting March 4, aiming to raise awareness among voters. Chief Electoral Officer Shri K. Ravi Kumar urged officials to engage with citizens, encouraging them to verify their voter registration status promptly to avoid any disenfranchisement on polling day.
Officials were instructed to promptly rectify any discrepancies found during the verification process. Moreover, they were encouraged to share their voter status on social media with the designated hashtag, amplifying awareness among the public.
