Ranchi, The headquarters of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Jharkhand Sector will be in the Modern Bakery in Dhurva, Ranchi, where the Jharkhand Police’s Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) headquarters are located. Its process is almost complete. The headquarters of the CRPF Jharkhand sector will be constructed when the ATS office is removed from there.
A new building is being constructed for the ATS Headquarters of Jharkhand Police at Simliya under Ratu police station area. On the request of the SP of Jharkhand ATS, the Police Headquarters has requested the Home Jail and Disaster Management Department that till the new building of ATS at Simlia in Ratu is not completed, the said office of ATS should be shifted to the same old Modern Bakery located at Dhurva.
Police Headquarters has also written that many sensitive and very important establishments, institutions, business establishments and shopping malls of the capital are located within a radius of about 12 kms from the ATS headquarters located in Dhurva. Anti-Terrorism Squad was formed by Jharkhand Police only to keep a close watch on special situations like terrorism related activities, religious hysteria and activities related to it. This squad is to be established on the lines of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Kerala and West Bengal around very sensitive and important state or commercial establishments.
Therefore, this office should not be removed from there for the time being. It is worth mentioning that 5.28 acres of land located at Jagannathpur Mauja of Namkum zone in Ranchi district has been selected for Jharkhand sector of CRPF. Its preparations have been started.Presently the headquarters of CRPF Jharkhand Sector is at Tiril of Dhurva police station area.
