Judge death case: CBI detained one from Barora

A two-member CBI team engaged in the investigation of the death of District and Sessions Judge-8 Uttam Anand reached Katras and Barora on Friday afternoon. The CBI has detained Vikram Singh from Barora’s ladydoor. is interrogating him. The CBI team has also summoned Shahid Ansari, a resident of Shyamdih, Katras, and another youth from Lakdka for questioning.

It is being told that on the day of the incident, the CBI is looking for the people seen in the CCTV footage installed at the court turn Randhir Verma Chowk. CBI is investigating what they were doing at Randhir Verma Chowk at the time of the incident. On Thursday, the High Court had also commented on why the auto driver was not able to proceed ahead of Lakhan Verma and Rahul Verma in the CBI investigation.

The court had also directed to investigate in relation to the unknown seen in the CCTV. After the strictness of the High Court, there was a race in the CBI team on Friday. The CBI reached the Barora police station and Vikram was called to the Barora police station through the police. From Barora, the team reached Katras police station with Vikram. Taking the Katras police along with the CBI officers reached the residence of Shyamdih resident Shahid Ansari.

Shahid was not found at home. Later, Shahid tried to meet the team by reaching Katras police station, but by then the team had left. Here, the CBI team also went to Lakka with the police. There also the team found out about a boy. He was also not in the house. The team returned to Dhanbad after giving notice to both of them. The team was accompanied by other policemen including Tetulmari’s former station in-charge Vinod Kumar. The CBI refused to divulge anything regarding the news of the boys’ discovery.
