Goods train derailed in Odisha, boxes fell into river

A big news of this time is coming from Odisha where a goods train has crashed. According to the information received so far, six wagons of this goods train derailed on Tuesday morning near Angul on the Angul-Talcher road route of Odisha and fell into the river. Some boxes are hanging. The incident happened around 2.30 am. Wheat is loaded in the goods train. The engine of the train remained on the track in the accident but the loco pilot and other personnel jumped out of the vehicle to save their lives. Railway officials have called for an inquiry into the accident.

Rail traffic on this route has been affected due to the derailment of the goods train. Railway officials have said that the railways is working on a war footing to smooth the traffic. Train traffic has also been disrupted in the neighboring state of Jharkhand due to this train accident. It is being told that many trains of Chakradharpur Railway Division have been canceled due to this accident. Due to the cancellation of trains, the problems of the passengers traveling on that route have increased. For the convenience of the passengers, helpline has been started at many stations including Rourkela of Chakradharpur Railway Division.
