CM Hemant Soren Launches Ambitious Welfare Programs for Rural Communities

PALAMU, EW NEWS : In a significant move towards grassroots governance, Chief Minister Hemant Soren inaugurated the third phase of the “Your Plan – Your Government – Your Door” program in Palamu. The initiative aims to extend government schemes and services directly to individuals in remote rural areas, addressing the challenges faced by the poor and needy at their doorsteps.

Expressing satisfaction with the ongoing camps, the Chief Minister observed a festive atmosphere akin to fairs, with enthusiastic participation at various counters to avail the benefits of welfare schemes.

Encouraging citizens to leverage the program, CM Soren emphasized that whether one needs a ration card, pension benefits, or wishes to connect with the government’s welfare initiatives, they can now find assistance in their own panchayats without the need for frequent visits to district offices.

Highlighting the state’s commitment to the welfare of farmers, CM Soren outlined multiple ongoing agricultural schemes, such as the Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, aimed at motivating farmers to plant fruit-bearing trees. He also mentioned initiatives like the Didhi-Badi Yojana, focusing on horticulture.

Addressing the concerns of migrant laborers, the Chief Minister assured support through agreements with various states, enabling swift assistance in case of issues faced by Jharkhand’s labor force outside the state. He urged laborers to register on the Labor Department’s portal to facilitate effective data management.

In a bid to promote education, CM Soren announced the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana, ensuring that the state covers all expenses for girls’ education, fostering a future where they can aspire to become engineers, doctors, and officers.

Emphasizing Jharkhand’s path to self-sufficiency by 2025, CM Soren reiterated the government’s commitment to overcoming challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic and drought. He affirmed that the state would stand independently, requiring no external assistance.

The Chief Minister concluded the event by inaugurating 113 schemes with a total cost of ₹100.69 crores, laying the foundation for 75 additional projects. A distribution of assets worth ₹68.67 crores among 653,152 beneficiaries marked the occasion.

Notable dignitaries present included Labor Minister Satyanand Bhokta, Agriculture Minister Badal, and Water Resources & Sanitation Minister Mithilesh Kumar Thakur, along with other officials and legislators.
