Ranchi EW News: Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, state-level master trainers related to IT were provided refresher training today. Trainers were given online training through video conferencing related to apps and portals issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI) from the conference hall of the Chief Electoral Officer’s office. Deputy Chief Electoral Officer of Jharkhand, Neha Aroda, said that the apps and portals issued by the Election Commission of India would facilitate independent and impartial elections.
Beneficial for both Voters and Candidates
She said that through technology, voters can be targeted, and awareness can be raised among urban voters, making them aware of voting by providing information about their polling centers, candidates contesting in the elections, and other facilities available, starting from including their names in the voter list to knowing about their polling centers and candidates contesting the elections. Answers to questions are also available through the chat board.
National-level master trainer Syed Nasir Jameel provided detailed information about the importance and operation of the app and portal, training on voter service portal, NGSAP portal, EnCore, C-Vigil app, ERO net, facility app and portal, permission, candidate affidavit management, voter turnout, etc. After today’s training session, trained state-level master trainers will provide training on the Election Commission of India’s application and portal to the relevant officials of their Lok Sabha constituencies.
In this training session, state-level master trainers from Dhanbad, Giridih, Ranchi, Palamu, Sahibganj, Hazaribagh, Saraikela, Gumla, Bokaro, and East Singhbhum were present.
