Ambala Division felicitated women staff on the occasion of International Women’s Day-2021

New Delhi: Ambala: On the occasion of Interna tional Women’s Day-2021, Ambala Division organized a Felicitation Ceremony on 8th March, 2021 on the theme “Women in Leader ship: Achieving an equal feature in COVID-19 world”. The felicitation ceremony was conducted dur ing the General Manager Northern Railway’s inspec tion of Ambala Division. Sh. Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager, Northern Railway was the Chief Guest for the programme. Ms. Pramila Bhargava, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, Northern Railway and Sh. Gurinder Mohan Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, Ambala Division were also present. The cash awards were given to 10 women staff of Ambala Division for the ex cellence shown in working during the COVID-19 lock down. Sh. Ashutosh Gan gal , General Manager, Northern Railway appreci ated their hard work and gave encouragement to all the occasion to the safety and empowerment of women. Sh. Gurinder Mohan Singh called upon the gathering to resolve to support women in bringing about a change in every ar chaic tradition that impedes their progress.Among the women awardees were RPF Constable, Assistant Loco Pilot, Booking clerk, Station Master, Pointsman, Technician, Office Superin tendent, and Track Main tainer among others. The awardees shared their ex perience of working in In dian Railways in the COVID-19 world. Every one present in the session was inspired by their will to succeed. Sh. Ashutosh Gangal expressed grati tude for their contribution in Indian Railways.
