Lucknow, EW News: The Uttar Pradesh government, has put in place robust security protocols to ensure the smooth conduct of the UP Constable Civil Police Direct Recruitment Examination. Scheduled to be held on February 17 and 18 across 2,385 examination centers spanning all 75 districts of the state, the exam has seen comprehensive arrangements to maintain integrity and transparency.
In a bid to fortify the examination process, static magistrates have been stationed at each exam center, accompanied by a contingent of police officers ranging from Deputy Superintendent of Police to Sub Inspector, depending on the size of the candidate pool at each location. Additionally, stringent surveillance measures, including CCTV monitoring and biometric verification, have been enforced to regulate entry and prevent malpractice.
The recruitment drive aims to fill 60,244 vacancies within the police force, reflecting the government’s commitment to enhancing law enforcement capabilities. To oversee the examination process, administrative and police officers have been deployed at various levels, with District Magistrates assuming key supervisory roles and coordinating logistical aspects.
DG Renuka Mishra, Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB), emphasized the meticulous planning undertaken to ensure the exam’s smooth execution. District Magistrates, in their capacity as District Supervisors, are tasked with overseeing exam centers, coordinating with sector magistrates, and deploying static magistrates to maintain order.
Furthermore, to prevent any attempts at cheating, a robust system of personnel deployment has been devised, with a careful balance between appointments made by District Magistrates and Center Administrators. This includes assigning invigilators and assistants by prescribed ratios, alongside the deployment of flying squads to uphold the exam’s integrity.
Technological interventions, such as facial recognition and Aadhaar authentication, have been integrated into the examination process to verify candidate identities effectively. Moreover, the installation of jammers at examination centers will neutralize electronic devices, ensuring a fair and secure testing environment.
With an overwhelming response from applicants, including over 6 lakh candidates from states beyond Uttar Pradesh, the UP Constable Civil Police Recruitment Exam underscores the significance of robust security measures in upholding the credibility of the selection process. As candidates gear up to demonstrate their potential, the government’s commitment to conducting fair and transparent recruitment remains unwavering.
