Sanjay Pandey Ranchi: As per the directives of the Chief Electoral Officer, Shri K. Ravi Kumar, a one-day training workshop was organized today at the departmental auditorium for district-level master trainers on topics related to the Lok Sabha elections 2024. The workshop covered areas such as the Model Code of Conduct, expenditure monitoring, media complaints, MCC, and tree news.
During this training workshop, officials from various districts were informed about the specific points to focus on in monitoring the expenses of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024 to ensure clean and impartial voting. Information was also provided on how to swiftly address violations of the electoral code of conduct using the C-Vigil app. Detailed training was given on how to promptly act on misleading news related to tree news and similar situations in social media. Furthermore, officials were instructed on how to use social media to educate voters and engage with them under the sweep campaign.
Present at the event were OSD Mrs. Geeta Chaubey from the Chief Electoral Office, Additional Secretary Mr. Devdas Datta, Deputy Electoral Officer (Headquarters) Mr. Sanjay Kumar, and Deputy Electoral Officer Mr. Sunil Kumar Singh, along with System Analyst Mr. S.N. Jameel, among others.
