To suppress voice of opposition leaders being implicated in false cases: BJP

Ranchi: The opposition BJP on Sunday accused the state government of trying to suppress the voice of its leaders by implicating them in fake cases.

State BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said that the government is scared of state BJP president Deepak Prakash due to which whenever he starts an agitation false cases are registered against him. He said that on an earlier occasion also a case of sedition was imposed on him which came under criticism across the country.

Pratul said that this time when the state Chief staged a dharna in the fields in support of the farmers once again a case has been imposed on him. He said that the party and its leaders have always struggled for the issues of the people and imposing of cases is not going to get them scared and diverted from their path.

He said that on the issue of rising cost of Petroleum products the Congress leaders and cabinet ministers had staged dharna before the Raj Bhawan in which neither social distancing was followed nor masks were worn but despite that the local administration did not take any action.
