Latehar EW News: Under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Garima Singh, a review meeting was held at the conference hall of the Collectorate regarding the effective implementation of schemes operated by the Supply Department. During the review, the Deputy Commissioner assessed the current status of food grain procurement, transportation, and distribution under the National Food Security Act and gave clear directives to the District Supply Officer to ensure 100% procurement and distribution of food grains.
She emphasized that any negligence in the procurement and distribution of food grains would not be tolerated. Additionally, she instructed to establish better coordination with procurement centers and to streamline activities related to paddy procurement to ensure that farmers face no difficulties during the procurement season.
In the meeting, a detailed review of various schemes such as Aadhaar seeding, inactive ration cards, chickpea procurement, and other operational schemes was conducted. Necessary directives were issued to the District Supply Officer to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries benefit from the schemes.
Furthermore, Deputy Commissioner Garima Singh also reviewed the activities related to schemes operated under the Building Premises. She conducted a detailed review of the work carried out by the Building Premises so far and provided necessary and appropriate directives. The Executive Engineer was directed to ensure diligence in implementing pending schemes, completing projects on time, and ensuring no compromise on quality.
Additionally, it was decided in the meeting that progress on the construction of toilets at polling centers would be reviewed within three days. Instructions were given to take action against those found negligent in their duties.
