Rural women will get the gift of respectable livelihood

Ranchi : Rural Development Secretary Dr. Manish Ranjan has written a letter to the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts, emphasizing on connecting the rural women associated with the sale and manufacture of liquor on priority with the Phoolo Jhano Ashirwad campaign. At the same time, in the past, the beneficiary women of this campaign have also been instructed to provide timely support. Through the letter, Dr. Manish Ranjan has talked about starting the second phase of Phoolo Jhano Ashirwad Abhiyan on the instructions of the Honorable Chief Minister. Under this, work has to be done to provide strong livelihood to those women, who are associated with the sale and manufacture of wine liquor, on priority basis by connecting them with Phoolo Jhano Ashirwad Abhiyan. Rural Development Secretary said that under this campaign, there is a need to emphasize on work for monitoring, counseling, cooperation and continuous dialogue of rural women who have returned to the mainstream.

Second phase of Phoolo Jhanno Ashirwad Abhiyan will be launched on November 15

In a letter to the Deputy Commissioners, the Rural Development Secretary has talked about starting the second phase of Phoolo Jhano Ashirwad Abhiyan from the day of State Foundation Day. In the second phase of this campaign, such women are to be ensured on priority basis, who are still involved in the sale and construction works of wine liquor. According to the letter, in the first phase, it is to be ensured to encourage the beneficiary women associated with the campaign by visiting their homes and helping them for livelihood empowerment. Through the letter, instructions have been given to ensure connecting the beneficiaries of this campaign with various schemes including ration card, widow pension, Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Scheme and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. In the second phase, arrangements will also be made to link the identified women with employment-oriented training, so that income can be increased. The Rural Development Secretary has informed that an online dashboard is being developed for monitoring the Phoolo Jhano Ashirwad Abhiyan, which will be launched by the Hon’ble Chief Minister on November 15.
On the instructions of Hon’ble Chief Minister, Phoolo Jhano Ashirwad Abhiyan is being implemented by Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society. Under this campaign, so far more than 14000 rural women engaged in the manufacture and sale of wine liquor have been linked with a strong livelihood. Various means of livelihood have been provided to these women by connecting them in Sakhi Mandal and technical help is also provided with interest free loans. Efforts are being made to connect the beneficiaries with two or more means of livelihood under the Phoolo Jhano Ashirwad Abhiyan.
