Ranchi, The state government decided to extend the restrictions imposed as part of Health Safety Week to break the chain of Coronavirus by another one week ( Jun 24 to Jul 1) in Jharkhand.
An order issued by the Home Prison and Disaster Management Department said the provisions of order number 207 dated 16.06.2021 related to observance of Swasthya Suraksha Saptah in the context of Covid-19 shall be extended from 6 AM on 24.06.2021 to 1.07.2021 6 AM.
Talking to the press outside the Project Building the Chief Minister said that by the means of Swasthya Suraksha Saptah the state is passing through the second wave of Coronavirus. He said that while the second wave is still on there is also a third wave expected.
The Chief Minister said that since the danger has still not been completed averted therefore it has been decided to extend the Swasthya Suraksha Saptah in its present form by few days. He said that going forward after making a complete assessment of the situation any decision will be taken in the interest of the state.
Adding further he said that the world was grappling with such a pandemic which was coming up with daily new challenges therefore in such a scenario it was the responsibility of all to listen to the directions of the scientists and the governments. He said that under the present circumstances there was a need to adopt a cautious approach as then only battle against Coronavirus can be won.
The Chief Minister said it is now upto the citizens of the state to ensure how they can keep themselves, their family members and others in the surrounding safe as the virus was still out there.
