Mathura, In a daring incident, a truck hit a vehicle of the state commercial taxes while fleeing during the checking drive on Yamuna Expressway.
The incident occurred on Wednesday night in which a policeman was killed and six others were injured.
Police here said that the incident occurred near Mile Stone 60 of Yamuna Expressway in Mathura when Manoj Tripathi, Joint Commissioner of Commercial Tax, was checking the vehicles with his other mobile team members.
The team was checking from Agra to Noida late on Wednesday night. During the checking, a truck driver hit the commercial taxes vehicles in which constable Kishore Kumar Shukla (33), a native of Kanpur died.
Joint Commissioner commercial taxes Vinay Gupta, assistant commissioner Virender, Driver Vijay Kumar Yadav, Peon Vinod Kumar and Anil Rawat were injured along with one another injured.
Naujheel police, who reached the information of the accident, took possession of the dead body and the injured were admitted to Kailash Hospital in Noida. The driver left the truck and fled. Police has seized the truck and information is being sought about its owner and driver.
After this incident, SP (Rural) Sreeschand said that one constable has died in the accident, while six people have been injured. A Case has also been registered.
