New Delhi, Government think tank Niti Aayog is anchoring the plan to prepare a dashboard showing real time data on production-linked incentives (PLI).

A senior government official said that the Aayog has started taking inputs from concerned ministries and departments to put in place the system.

“They have written to us for our suggestions. The PLI dashboard would monitor the beneficiary companies. It will provide transparency,” the official told UNI.

The government has come up with PLI scheme for various sectors to boost local manufacturing and make India a global production hub. The schemes for 13 sectors including mobile, steel and textiles have a total outlay of Rs 1.97 lakh crore.

With the roll-out of PLI Schemes for 13 sectors, minimum production in India is expected to be around Rs 37.5 lakh crore over five years and minimum expected employment over 5 years is nearly 1 crore.
