New Delhi, In a show of solidarity with Israel during the ongoing conflict with Hamas, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, reiterating India’s condemnation of terrorism in all its forms.
Prime Minister Modi conveyed his support to Israel, stating that the people of India stand firmly with Israel during these challenging times. In a tweet posted on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi announced the conversation with Netanyahu, where he received an update on the ongoing situation.
“India strongly and unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations,” Modi’s post read, reaffirming India’s commitment to combat terrorism.
PM Modi had earlier expressed his deep shock at the “terrorist attacks” in Israel, emphasizing India’s unwavering solidarity with the nation. The conflict, which began on October 7 with a surprise attack by Hamas, has claimed over 1,600 lives on both sides, with significant casualties in Israel and Gaza.
Netanyahu, addressing the situation, stated that Israel did not initiate the war but was forced into it in a brutal manner. He emphasized that while Israel did not start the conflict, it was determined to finish it and restore peace to the region.
As the conflict persists, international leaders like PM Modi continue to advocate for peace and condemn acts of terrorism, calling for a resolution to end the violence and suffering in the region.
