Puducherry, Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the catering and water sports employees association of the Puducherry Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) on Tuesday picketed their head office at Uppalam here to press their demands.
They were demanding among other things, the immediate disbursement of their nine months salary, action against those who swindled several crores of rupees by selling the sand to private parties, taken out to deepen the Chunnambar boat house, and lift the ban on sale of liquor at the Karaikal Seagulls hotel.
Senior officials held talks with the agitators.
