Eight member committee constituted to investigate ragging in RIMS, report to be given in 24 hours

Ranchi , RIMS management has constituted an eight-member committee to investigate the incident of ragging in RIMS. The committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Dean Student Welfare Dr Hiren Birua. Regarding the incident, RIMS Medical Superintendent Dr Vivek Kashyap said that after getting information about the incident, the Superintendent and other people of the hostel concerned have been called and information has been taken.

After which the committee has been constituted and asked to submit the report within 24 hours. Dr Vivek Kashyap said that the consumption of intoxicants is prohibited in the hostel. The matter will be completely clear after the investigation. Apart from Dr Hiren Birua, the inquiry committee includes Deputy Superintendent of Medical Dr Shailesh Kumar Tripathi, Dean of Dental Dr NN Singh, Vigilance Officer of RIMS Dr Haider Ali and Warden of Hostel No. 2, 3, 4 and 7.

Let us inform that on Saturday and Sunday, there was a clash between the students of 2019 batch and PG seniors over ragging of students of 2020 batch. PG seniors were refusing to indulge in ragging and making noise. After which there was a tussle between the 2019 batch and PG seniors. Regarding this, on Sunday, the students of the 2019 batch were demanding an apology from the PG Seniors for Saturday’s incident, after which there was a fight and the matter was pacified after the intervention of Bariatu police station. After the entire incident, the students dean of RIMS also did the investigation, after which it was decided to form an inquiry committee meeting the superintendent on Monday.
