DC holds meetings with all the PACS presidents regarding the procurement of paddy

Palamu | According to the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Shashi Ranjan, DSO Shabbir Ahmed and District Cooperative Officer Ashwini Kumar Ojha held a meeting with all PACS presidents regarding successful procurement of paddy in Palamu district under Kharif marketing year 2021-22. In the meeting held in the DRDA auditorium, DSO took one turn to all the PACS presidents about their PACS capacity, alternative arrangements, road, computer operators, etc., and asked all the PACS presidents to purchase paddy as per the resolution issued by the government, so that there should not be any problem in the procurement of paddy and by this step, each member must be in constant touch with your respective BDOs.

In the meeting, the DSO talked about making arrangements for night guards at each center. He also said that no purchase of any kind of paddy should be done at night. He said that the full responsibility of management at each center would rest with the respective PACS president. Apart from this, VLW will also be deputed as purchase in-charge. After procurement of paddy, the transportation of paddy will be done by the millers selected by the district.

On being questioned by the PACS presidents on the subject of registration, the District Supply Officer said that any farmer can register himself either offline or online. He mentioned that for offline registration, the farmers must have a valid photo identity card, such as Aadhaar number, mobile number, bank account statement, area of land used for agricultural work, account number, and plot number, in the prescribed form prescribed by the department in the respective circle office. At the same time, farmers can also apply for online registration themselves or through Pragya Kendra. This application will be done through the e-procurement portal and market app. While filling the online application, farmers will have to upload a scanned copy of a valid identity card, such as Aadhar card, voter card, driving license, etc., bank account statement, area of land (including account number and plot number) with a photo attached to it. Apart from the above, other employees of the District Supply and District Cooperative Office were present in the meeting.
