Cybercriminals are continuously taking money from the accounts of common people by applying one way or the other. The new case is of Gonda police station area of ​​Ranchi. Here, cyber criminals have cheated one lakh 81 thousand rupees from a girl by asking OTP through Facebook.

Mansi, a resident of Saket Nagar under Gonda police station area of ​​Ranchi, has told the police that she had put a picture on her Facebook account to sell a handicraft item. She uploaded the picture on Facebook on the afternoon of September 13. After this she got comments from 8099897478 that he has to buy that item. In the meantime, the person sent him a barcode to make an online payment. As soon as she collected the barcode, money started disappearing from her account continuously. Withdrawals were made from her account in five to six times. 1 lakh 81 thousand rupees were disappeared from her account.

After the registration of the case, where the Gonda police is engaged in the investigation, the team of the cyber police station has also started investigating the matter. According to experts, this is probably the first case in Ranchi in which money has been missing from the account through barcode. Ranchi’s Cyber ​​DSP Yashodhara said that only after the statement of the victim of the fraud, it would be possible to come to the fore as to how the account was withdrawn through the barcode. At present, the account in which the money has come to the fore is being refrigerated.
