Capital and adjoining districts received light to medium range rainfall

Ranchi, Ranchi and its adjoining districts on Friday received light to medium range rainfall.
The local weather station in its prediction said that during the last 24 hours almost all the districts of the state have received light to medium range rainfall. Jamshedpur has received maximum rainfall at 79.7 mm while among the districts Deoghar was the hottest at 35.9 degrees while Chaibasa was the coolest at 22.2 degrees.


The MET has said that there will not be much change in the weather conditions over the next week. Till August 29 nowhere in the state heavy rainfall has been predicted however light to medium rainfall will continue to take place in some of the regions.
For the period between June 1 to August 26 four districts of Koderma, Dhanbad, Jamtara and Lohardaga have received surplus rainfall while rains were deficient in Gumla, Simdega, Khunti, Chatra, Saraikela and West Singhbhum districts.
In the other 14 districts including Ranchi, Monsoon rains are at their normal level.
