BJP demands Rs.One lakh to family of those died due to COVID 19

Puducherry, The Puducherry unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) demanded the provision of Rs.One lakh to the family of those died due to Coronavirus infection in the Union Territory.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at the Executive committee meeting of the party held  under the Chairmanship of Party President V Saminathan.

Another resolution urged the government to bear the entire funeral expenses of the Covid victims.

The meeting condemned the Congress party and its leaders for their false propaganda about Covid infection through “tool Kit” when Prime Minister Narendra Modi took all initiatives to check the infection of the virus and reduced the number of deaths to a great extent.

Resolutions thanking the Prime Minister for taking proper steps to contain the spread of COVID-19 and extending free rice to the affected till Diwali festival.

 

The meeting thanked all the BJP leaders including Mr Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for their hard work for the victory of the party in the assembly election in UT and the health and frontline workers for their dedicated service during the pandemic.

It also thanked Chief Minister N Rangaswamy for announcing Rs.3000 each for ration card holders toward Covid relief and providing Rs.1500 as first instalment.

Apart from Mr Saminathan, party legislators and functionaries took part in the meeting while, party in- charge for Puducherry Nirmal Kumar Surana virtually participated.
