In the encounter between the militant organization PLFI and the security forces, once again the organization’s supremo Dinesh Gope managed to escape. In the early hours of Monday, the areas of Budh and Tomrong of the rugged Gudri police station area of Podahat forest in West Singhbhum reverberated with gunshots. Seeing the security forces getting heavy, leaving the carbines and other weapons, Dinesh ran away with the squad in the forest. This information was given by SP Ajay Linda.
He said that along with the squad of Dinesh Gope, there was a secret information about being present on the forest of Budh and Tomrong in the border areas of Chaibasa and Khunti districts. After this a joint team of Chaibasa Police, Khunti Police and Jharkhand Jaguar was formed. On Monday morning, as the soldiers were moving towards Budh and Tomrong forest hill, the militants started firing. The security forces also responded to him.
The government has placed a reward of 25 lakhs on PLFI supremo Dinesh Gope. Dozens of cases are registered against Dinesh of Khunti’s Karra. These cases have been registered in Odisha along with Jharkhand. Santosh Kandulna of Dinesh Gop’s squad is a resident of Kedke in Bandgaon and has a reward of two lakhs on him. After the encounter killings of PLFI militants Shanichar Surin and Jidan Gudiya and the arrest of several militants including Hari Sandi Purti alias Modi, Ajay Purti, the organization has broken its back. Since then Dinesh Gop is on the radar of the security forces.
