Actress Kozhikode Sarada passes away

Kozhikode, Popular Malayalam Actress Kozhikode Saradha passed away at the medical college hospital here on Tuesday. She was 84.

The veteran theatre artist turned film actress has been undergoing treatment at the hospital since last month.

A native of Kozhikode, Sarada was a prominent drama artist and was better known as Kozhikode Saradha. She become prominent in films after her debut in Malayalam film “Angakur” in 1979.

She had acted in about 80 films including Anubandham, Nalkkavala and Anyarude Bhoomi, Utsavapittennu, Sadayam, Sallapam, Kilichundan Mambazham, Ammakilikoodu, Nandanamm, Yugapurushan and Kuttisrank.

Later the veteran actress also acted in several television serials.
