Delhi saw a lively parade recently, organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) during its 69th National Convention. Over 10,000 students from all over India joined in, turning the streets into a mini-India.
Starting from Burari, the parade covered a 4.5-kilometer route to Morris Nagar Chowk, with Delhi residents cheering at 62 locations along the way. The parade, themed “Different Languages, Different Attires, Yet One Nation,” aimed to show off India’s diversity.
Students from different states showcased India’s various cultures, and the crowd chanted slogans like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” expressing unity from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. The parade ended at Delhi University, where discussions on education, society, and youth issues took place.
Yajnavalkya Shukla, ABVP’s National General Secretary, appreciated the warm welcome from Delhi residents. He said the parade is a powerful way to show that India stands united, countering any attempts to divide the nation.
The ABVP’s National President, Dr. Rajsharan Shahi, Delhi State Minister Harsh Atri, and Delhi University Students’ Union President Tushar Dedha were also part of the event. The parade left a lasting impression, highlighting India’s cultural richness and the strong bond among its youth.
