Agriculture Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Department, Rural Development Department, MGNREGA, JSLPS and Welfare for livestock development with the aim of improving the economic condition of rural livestock farmers and making the youth self-employed and self-employed at the village level and preventing their migration. Various beneficiary oriented schemes are being implemented by the department. In this background, a meeting of the state level committee was held under the chairmanship of Secretary Rural Development Department Manish Ranjan regarding the successful implementation of the Chief Minister Livestock Scheme. In the meeting, Secretary, Rural Development Department, Mr. Manish Ranjan took information from the officer regarding the selection of beneficiaries and targets received by the government under the livestock scheme in the districts and directed that as per the target set by the government, ensure timely selection of beneficiaries.
Welcoming all the participants by the Secretary, Rural Development Department, discussions were held for successful implementation of Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Yojana in convergence with MNREGA and Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Department.
During the discussion the following decisions were taken-
Secretary, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Department informed that against the target set under Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Yojana, the final list of beneficiaries has been prepared and communicated to all the districts. Various sheds will be constructed under the MNREGA scheme under the convergence of the informed target and the identified beneficiaries.

- Decision was taken to implement the pig shed under Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Yojna only for the identified beneficiaries.
- A 6-member committee was formed under the chairmanship of the Director, Directorate of Gaya Development to prepare the model estimates of various schemes. Through the said committee, detailed model estimates of various schemes will be made available by date 30.11.2021. The durability of the shed will be taken care of while preparing the estimate.
- In the said committee, in addition to the director, directorate of development, 5 other members are sheep husbandry officer of agriculture, animal husbandry and cooperative department, technical officer of agriculture, and assistant engineer of MNREGA (state MNREGA cell), assistant engineer (Namkum and Kanke block, district Ranchi). ) will remain.
- Jointly signed guidelines will be issued from the level of Secretary, Rural Development Department and Secretary, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Department for successful implementation of the Chief Minister’s Livestock Scheme.
Adjustment of plans for self-reliance
Due to the heterogeneous geographical location of Jharkhand and lack of self employment in the village, migration has been a problem. On the other hand, during the Corona transition period, lakhs of migrant workers returned to their villages, which was a challenge for the government to provide employment. On the initiative of the Chief Minister, an initiative was taken to provide self-employment in the village itself, whose aim is to make the state self-reliant by increasing the production of milk, meat and eggs in the state. This will generate self-employment and additional household income through animal husbandry in rural areas and to increase the income of rural livestock farmers.
Benefits of schemes received
Under the Chief Minister’s Livestock Development Scheme, goat development scheme in the animal husbandry sector, sugar development scheme, backyard layer poultry scheme, boiler poultry rearing scheme, duck chick distribution scheme and distribution of two milch cows in the cow development area, under mini dairy under Kamdhenu dairy farming. Beneficiaries are being benefited under the scheme of distribution of 5 to 10 cows, distribution of hand and electric powered chaff cutters, assistance to progressive dairy farmers, distribution of technical input materials.
