Home Guard team achieves new success in mountaineering, conquers moon peak of Dhauladhar

Hamirpur (HP), The mountaineering team of the 10th Corps of Home Guards Hamirpur has succeeded in climbing the Moon Peak, about 15,250 feet high in the Dhauladhar mountain range.
Commandant Sushil Kumar Kaundal, who led this mountaineering expedition of 10th Corps of Home Guards Hamirpur organized on the occasion of the golden jubilee year of full statehood of Himachal Pradesh said that despite facing unfavorable weather conditions on the Dhauladhar hills, the team unfurled the tricolor at Moon Peak, about 15,250 feet high, on the border of Kangra and Chamba districts.


In this 11-member mountaineering team, Commandant Sushil Kumar Kaundal, Company Commander Ashok Rangra, Company Commander Praveen Kumar, Platoon Commander Rajkumar, Havildar Ranveer Singh, Havaldar Pawan Kumar, Home Guard Sanjit Kumar, Home Guard Surendra Kumar, Home Guard Kashmir Singh, Section Leader Shobha Devi, and lady home guard Praveen Kaushal.


Deputy Commissioner Debasweta Banik has congratulated the Commandant of 10th Corps of Home Guards and his entire team for this achievement.
