Shri Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager Northern Railway informed that Delhi Division of Northern Railway has achieved Best ever overall Freight loading of 2.15 MT during the month of August, 2021, which is also 15.59% higher than corresponding period of last year (1.86 MT). Container loading was 0.68 MT during August, 2021, which is 30.77% higher than August, 2020 (0.52 MT). POL loading was 0.49 MT in August, 2021, which is 36.11% higher than August, 2020 (0.36 MT). 59 Rakes of Automobiles were loaded during August 2021, which is 28.26% higher than August, 2020 (46 Rakes).
The Average speed of freight trains was 46.34 Kmph. in August, 2021 which is an improvement of 2.64% as compared to corresponding period of last year (45.15 Kmph.).
During August, 2021 the Total Goods Earning was Rs. 261.29 Cr. which is 25.97% higher as compared to Rs. 207.42 Cr. during the corresponding period of last year. On 29.08.2021, Delhi Division has loaded 50 Rakes for the 2nd time in the current financial year. Thirteen rakes of PFG from the open market were also loaded during the month.
