Ranchi EW News : There will be no room for any lapses in the preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. It is essential to work diligently and ensure there is no laxity in the election preparations. Any deficiencies observed should be rectified immediately. He instructed all officials present to strictly adhere to the directives of the Election Commission of India. Chief Election Officer K. Ravi Kumar today reviewed the preparations for the elections in Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, and Koderma districts at the Hazaribagh Collectorate conference hall.
During the review meeting, the District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, along with other senior officials, reviewed the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 point by point.
The Chief Election Officer directed the district administration and police officials to complete all necessary preparations swiftly to ensure peaceful, clean, impartial, and fear-free elections.
The Chief Election Officer and the State Police Nodal Officer emphasized that the concerned officials would be responsible for any criminal incidents.
Keep the Social Media Cell active
The Chief Election Officer of Jharkhand directed to keep the Social Media Cell active and to closely monitor social media posts and take action against objectionable posts. Additionally, he instructed to publicize the toll-free numbers of social media cells in all districts so that the general public can lodge complaints related to it.
The Chief Election Officer and the State Police Nodal Officer instructed to conduct thorough checks at inter-state and district checkpoints to ensure strict vigilance and take action against criminal and anti-social elements. They directed to intensify the crackdown on illegal liquor and weapons by conducting raids within seven days.
Identify Helipads and Conduct Physical Verification
The State Police Nodal Officer directed to conduct physical verification of both permanent and temporary helipads in view of the election work and ensure their proper arrangements. He said that officials should start joint exercises for the arrangement of helipads so that they can be used in polling parties and emergency services.
In the review meeting, Chief Election Officer K. Ravi Kumar, State Police Nodal Officer A. V. Homkar, CRPF IG Rakesh Agrawal, Deputy Chief Election Officer Dr. Neha Aroda, along with other senior officials from North Chotanagpur Division, Hazaribagh Commissioner Suman Catherine Kispotta, IG of Hazaribagh Region, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, and Koderma districts, District Election Officers-cum-Deputy Commissioners, Superintendent of Police, CRPF Commandant, and all other senior officials related to the Lok Sabha elections were present.
