Vijayawada, Ruling YSRCP MLC Mohammad Karimunnisa died of cardiac arrest here on Saturday.
His family members told the media that she suffered a brief illness and later suffered a cardiac arrest and breathed his last.
She attended the Legislative Council meeting on Friday.
Karimunnisa worked as a Municipal Corporator previously.
Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed grief and shock over the death of Karimunnisa.
