Since allegations were raised against the Federation’s president, Brijbhushan Singh, regarding female wrestlers, it was imperative for the government to remove him. However, this crucial step has not been taken. Consequently, parents are now compelled to reconsider sending their daughters to participate in wrestling. The concerns for the safety and dignity of their daughters in the sport have only deepened, amplifying their apprehensions. Now, parents will think twice before allowing their daughters to pursue wrestling as a career.
While the government may have canceled the upcoming elections, the dominance of Brijbhushan Singh and those in close proximity to him persists within the Wrestling Federation. They are unwilling to step down quietly. Instead, they plan to challenge the government’s decision in court. Their endeavor is clear: to maintain control over the Wrestling Federation.

It is advisable for the Wrestling Federation to appoint a female athlete as its president to reassure concerned families about the safety and security of their daughters in the sport.

The government must ensure that sports organizations are free from political influence, allowing athletes and sports enthusiasts to witness a fair and unbiased administration. The appointment of a female athlete as the head of the Wrestling Federation could be a progressive step towards rebuilding the organization’s credibility and fostering a safer environment for female wrestlers.
