Woman proclaimed offender arrested by Hamirpur police

Hamirpur (HP), A team of the PO (Proclaim Offender) cell of the District Police, Hamirpur has arrested a female resident of VPO Bodhana PS Chopal District Shimla (HP) who was wanted in case FIR 179/2K dated 26/09/2K U/S 380 IPC PS Sadar Hamirpur and declared a proclaimed offender on 04/01/2005 by the Lower District Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Hamirpur, it was reported on Saturday.
It’s worth mentioning here that Under section 380 of the IPC, whoever commits theft in any building, tent or vessel, which is used as a human dwelling, or used for the custody of property, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine
An official spokesman said on Saturday that she was also wanted in case FIR No. 124/2K dated 29/09/2K U/S 380,411 IPC PS Bhoranj and declared a proclaimed offender on 27/12/2007 by the Learned Court of JMIC-II, Hamirpur.
The spokesman said that the arrested woman was being interrogated and would be presented before a local court on Saturday.
