Hamirpur (HP), The much ambitious Anna Utsav programme under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana was telecast live and a meeting was held in which Deputy Commissioner Debashweta Banik and officers of the Food Supply Department took part here on Saturday.
This function was telecast live all over the state in which thousands of people participated. During the program, complete compliance of COVID-19 protocol and rules were ensured.
Saroj Devi, one of the beneficiaries of Bani village of the Hamirpur district was among those who talked with the chief guest Union Food and Public district-cum-consumer affairs Minister, Piyush Goel through virtual medium.
The beneficiary woman, Saroj Devi was happy with the scheme and told the minister that it was useful for her and others too. She thanked the government for launching such a scheme for their benefit.
The programme was shown live through LED screens installed at ten places in the district. For this, large LED screens were installed in Hamirpur’s Town Hall, Panchayat Ghar Changar, Mini Secretariat Bhoranj, Panchayat Ghar Tikri Minhasa, SDM Office Complex Nadaun, Panchayat Ghar Pansai, SDM Office Complex Barsar, BDO Office Complex Bijri, BDO Office Toni Devi and Tehsil Office Sujanpur.
In the program organized at the Town Hall of Hamirpur, ration bags was given to the beneficiaries by local MLA, Narendra Thakur.
All fair price shops had been revamped for organizing Anna Utsav and have been painted blue.
