Transfer of Rs. 8,902,000 Made to the Accounts of 4,451 New Pensioners under the Sarvjan Pension Scheme

Palamu EW News: A felicitation ceremony for Anganwadi workers under the Poshan Pakhwada and International Women’s Day, along with the celebration of the first payment to new beneficiaries under the Sarvjan Pension Scheme, was organized at the Town Hall. Deputy Commissioner Shashi Ranjan, District Council President Pratima Kumari, and others jointly inaugurated the program by lighting a lamp. During this event, a total of Rs. 8,902,000 was transferred to the accounts of 4,451 new pensioners aged 50-60 under the Sarvjan Pension Scheme as the first installment. Deputy Commissioner Shri Shashi Ranjan also distributed symbolic acceptance letters among some beneficiaries at the Town Hall. Similarly, today, under the National Family Welfare Scheme, a total payment of Rs. 1,720,000 was made to 86 beneficiaries at the rate of Rs. 20,000 each.

Various Beneficiaries Benefitted from Different Schemes at the Town Hall

At the Town Hall, appointment letters were distributed among 10 newly selected assistants and helpers. Similarly, two beneficiaries were selected under the State Widow Remarriage Incentive Scheme. Likewise, five beneficiaries were provided benefits under the Chief Minister’s Kanyadan Yojana. Fifteen girls were benefited under the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana. Additionally, a total of 28 female and 28 male workers were honored. Furthermore, a program for pregnant women’s nutrition was conducted, and children were also provided with supplementary nutrition. Deputy Commissioner Shri Ranjan administered the feeding of rice pudding to the children.

Women Play a Vital Role in Implementing Government Schemes: Deputy Commissioner

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Shashi Ranjan said that women play a vital role in implementing government schemes. He said that there are a total of 28 assistants and helpers at the grassroots level who, while taking care of their families, contribute to the smooth operation of various government schemes. He praised them for their dedication. He said that when small children go to Anganwadi centers, the Anganwadi workers take care of them, contributing to shaping the children’s future. He said that it is not said in vain that when a woman becomes literate, several generations become literate. He said that women are the backbone of our society. He said that your participation is also essential in the upcoming election activities; he urged everyone to install the VHA app on their mobile phones. Similarly, Social Welfare Officer Neeta Chauhan said that women are becoming self-reliant in this modern age, as evidenced by the presence of District Council President Pratima Kumari, District Supply Officer Preeti Kisku, and DPS Shanti Mardi on the stage.

Various stalls related to social welfare were set up at the Town Hall, all of which were inspected by the Deputy Commissioner. A large number of workers and assistants, including Assistant Director of Social Security Vikram Anand, District Welfare Officer Sevaram Sahu, Assistant Coordinator Ravi Kumar, were present at the event. It is noteworthy that the above-mentioned program was inaugurated by Chief Minister Shri Champai Soren in Ranchi, followed by the organization of a district-level program at the Town Hall in Medininagar.
