Rs 7 lakh of KCC loan taken out illegally to contest elections

Ranchi, Jharkhand Cooperative Bank is once again in controversy. After the scam of lakhs, now the case of wrongful withdrawal of farmers’ money has come to light. Keeping the rules in mind, Rs 6.96 lakh of agricultural loan item was adjusted in the loan account of Lampus and closed the account, which is already declared as default. The government order to close this account of Gamharia Lampus of Seraikela-Kharsanwa district was also ignored.

Basco Besra, the president of this lappus, also took the approval of DCO Ashok Tiwari to adjust the agricultural loan amount kept for the farmers in another account, this is also being said to be against the rules. Now the cooperative department is investigating this whole matter. Regarding this whole matter, Deputy Registrar Rakesh Kumar Singh says that if the money has been adjusted in this way, then it is wrong. He has said to conduct an inquiry about this entire process. He told that this whole matter is under the bank, so it will be investigated from there first. After that further action will be taken.

For the formation of the Board of Directors of Jharkhand State Cooperative Bank, the representative of the concerned society was selected, just before the election, the default account of Gamharia Lampus was closed by defying the rules of the bank. Such steps were taken for their personal interest. After this, many former members of the board have also raised questions on this. It is to be known that the defaulter Gamharia Lampus, who has a KCC loan of Rs 13 lakh 29 thousand, was closed by paying 6.96 lakh from that head, the remaining amount was given by the president himself and took NOC to contest the election.

According to the election rules, a defaulter lamp or loan defaulter representative cannot take part in the election. It is to be known that in Seraikela-Kharsawan district, on September 20, the representatives of affiliated cooperative societies are to be elected in the office of Assistant Registrar, Cooperation Societies, Gamharia Zone. But even after this allegation, questions have been raised about the elections.

After the district cooperative officer Seraikela-Kharsawan ordered to adjust the government assistance amount lying in the special savings account in KCC loan for years, keeping the rules in mind, the senior officers of the bank are raising questions on this. Earlier, District Cooperative Officer Kali Charan Singh had rejected the application for adjustment. He said that KCC loan is an amount recoverable from the farmers and for this, withdrawal or transfer cannot be allowed from the special savings account of Gamharia Lappus. After this, when the application was made for the same work for the second time, the rules changed and the money was transferred.
