Ranchi EW News: In a administrative reshuffle, Ananya Mittal, a distinguished 2015 batch Indian Administrative Service officer, has assumed the pivotal role of District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner for East Singhbhum district. This appointment comes as the outgoing District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner, Manjunath Bhajantri, Bihar cadre (Jha:2011), transitions to lead as the new Administrator of the Suvarnarekha Project in Jamshedpur.
In her inaugural address, the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner, Ananya Mittal, emphasized the paramount importance of ensuring the establishment of a robust legal system and the successful implementation of development projects in the district. She articulated her commitment to timely execute welfare schemes initiated by both central and state governments, ensuring that the dividends of development plans reach all eligible individuals across every corner of society.
Drawing from her previous experience, Mittal highlighted her probationary tenure in the district during 2017-18, pledging to leverage insights gained during that period to advance ongoing development projects effectively. Her illustrious career includes notable roles such as Subdivisional Officer in Dhanbad, Deputy Development Commissioner in Simdega and Ranchi, and Deputy Commissioner in West Singhbhum, Chaibasa.
The ceremonial handover ceremony was attended by a cadre of distinguished officials, including Additional Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, SDM Dhalbhum Piyush Sinha, Civil Surgeon Dr. Juzar Mazhi, Director NEP Jyotsna Singh, District Supply Officer Salman Jafar Khijri, District Planning Officer Arun Dwivedi, District Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar, and District Land Acquisition Officer Gunjan Sinha, among others.
