PM pays tributes to Chandan Mitra

New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid tributes to former Rajya Sabha MP and veteran journalist Chandan Mitra who passed away late Wednesday night in Delhi.

“Chandan Mitra ji will be remembered for his intellect and insights. He distinguished himself in the world of media as well as politics. Anguished by his demise. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti,” Prime Minister said in a tweet.

Mitra is survived by his wife and two sons. He was 66.

He also served the Pioneer as Managing Director before joining the TMC.
