Lohardaga: The kingdom of darkness prevails in many areas of Lohardaga Municipal Council. Street lights are installed in 23 wards of the city council, but they are out of order for months. During the rainy season, the general public is facing problems due to non-availability of street lights. Ward councilors said that even after writing and oral complaints in the office, it is said that there is no switch, no wires, no new lights, no bulbs, no parts and on asking competent people it is found that for light and accessories they have written to Ranchi.
For the past several months, due to the failure of street lights, the common people are facing problems. The people’s representatives and competent officials holding high posts of the city council should pay attention to this. Every time lakhs of rupees are spent on lights, but substandard quality lights are always installed, which do not last even for a month. The whole game is commissioned.
The lights which were installed last time got damaged in 10 days. Here, the representatives of the city council are compelled to remain silent. People are worried and are forced to live in the dark of night during the rainy season. However, city council representatives don’t care about this.
