Panaji, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that given the increasing popularity of various schemes and policies of the government, the opposition was frustrated.
In a tweet, he said,’Today, several pro-people bills were passed in the Assembly. Given the increasing popularity of various schemes and policies implemented by our Government, opposition is frustrated.’
‘From lack of winnable candidates to failed alliance talks, they resorted to violence right inside the temple of democracy. This rowdy conduct by
@VijaiSardesai and @RohanKhaunte is unbecoming of a public representative. I must remind them, people of Goa are watching,’ he said.
However, Goa Forward Party (GFP) MLA Vijay Sardesaid advised the Chief Minister to check the history of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and opinion of its two leaders Arun Jaitley and Sushma Sawaraj as regards to obstructionism of disruption of parliament.
‘Advising @DrPramodPSawant to check history of @BJP4India & opinion of its 2 top leaders @arunjaitley & @SushmaSwaraj as regards obstructionism & disruption of parliament before casting aspersions on others.Anyway, it is the government’s job to run the House not that of the Oppn!,’ he said in a tweet.
Mr Sardesai accused the government of buldozzing democracy in the assembly and being adamant not to discuss Goan issues from Mollem, budget, safety, floods, Mhadei, Mhadei and youth.
‘PLEASE WATCH how the @BJP4Goa BULLDOZES DEMOCRACY in the #Goa legislative #Assembly!
