Special Emphasis on Consumer Forum-Related Disputes
Palamu EW News: Jhalsa Following the directives of Disha, the National Lok Adalat is set to be held on March 9th at the District Court premises. Principal District and Session Judge Neeraj Kumar Shrivastav shared this information during a conversation with journalists. He stated that this year’s target for the National Lok Adalat is to resolve over 25,000 cases, surpassing the previous year’s tally of 23,500. Preparation for the Lok Adalat has commenced, with various departments holding meetings to provide necessary directions. The event will commence at 10:30 am at the District Court premises and will continue until the court’s session ends. PDJ highlighted that 14 benches have been constituted to resolve cases related to check bounce, matrimonial disputes, consumer forum matters, among others. He also mentioned that special focus will be given to family matters starting March 11th. Notable attendees at the event included District and Additional Session Judges, CM Anand Singh, Secretary of District Legal Services Authority Arpit Shrivastav, Registrar Amit Gupta, Railway Magistrate Manoj Kumar, and others.
