Aurangabad, The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 132 new COVID-19 cases and 6 deaths during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed.
The districts headquarters report stated that of the eight districts, Beed was the worst-affected district with 92 cases and 5 deaths, followed by Jalna one case and one death, Latur 18 cases, Aurangabad 17 cases, Nanded 4 cases.
Osmanabad, Parbhani and Hingoli districts did not recorded any positive case.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 4,355 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 64,32,649.
The state also registered 119 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,36,355.
Meanwhile, 4,240 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 62,43,034 The recovery rate currently stands at 97.05 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.11 per cent.
At present, there are 49,752 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, added the health authorities.
