Aurangabad, The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 310 new Covid-19 cases and six deaths during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed.
Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI show that out of the eight districts of the region, Aurangabad district was the worst-affected as it recorded 30 new cases and 2 deaths, followed by Beed which had 124 cases and one death, Osmanabad had 96 cases and single death, Jalna had 12 new cases and one death, Parbhani recorded single death, Latur 36 cases, Nanded reported 3 cases and Hingoli zero cases.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 6,005 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 63,21,068.
The state also registered 177 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,33,215.
Meanwhile, 6,799 patients also recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 61,10,121.
The state’s recovery rate currently stands at 96.66 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.1 per cent.
At present, there are 74,318 active cases across the state undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, added the health authorities.
