Maha: Marathwada registers 185 fresh COVID-19 cases & 3 deaths

Aurangabad, The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 185 fresh COVID-19 cases and three deaths during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed.

The district headquarters report stated that of eight districts in the region, Osmanabad district was the worst-affected with 51 cases and 2 deaths, followed by Aurangabad with 30 cases and one death, Beed saw 79 cases, Latur registered 16 cases, Parbhani 7 cases, Nanded and Jalna single cases each and Hingoli zero. 

Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 4,456 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 64,69,332.

The state also registered 183 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,37,496.

Meanwhile, 4,430 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 62,77,320. 

The recovery rate currently stands at 97.03 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.

At present, there are 51,078 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.
