Maha: Campaign for Deglur-Biloli assembly seat kicks off

Aurangabad, Campaigning for the Deglur-Biloli assembly seat in Nanded district of Maharashtra has started with the submission of nomination papers.

According to reports, on behalf of Maha Vikas Aghadi Jitesh Antapurkar (Congress), the son of deceased MLA Raosaheb Antapurkar, and Guardian and PWD minister Ashok Chavan held campaign rallies in Takli, Zari in the constituency on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, BJP state president Chandrakant Patil and Union Minister of State for Finance Bhagwat Karad held a meeting at Sagaroli for the campaigning of Subhash Sabne, the official candidate of BJP, RPI and Shiv Sangram Mahayuti.

Twelve candidates, including the main contenders Congress and BJP, are left in the fray.

The election for this constituency, which is reserved for SC candidates, was necessitated due to the death of sitting Congress member Raosaheb Antapurkar in April this year.

The by-elections will be held on October 30.
