Dhanbad, The Central Bureau of Investigation has intensified its probe into the
killing of Additional district and sessions judge Uttam Anand. A team of CFSL of the CBI which has come from New Delhi on Saturday visited the incident spot and tried to collect the evidence from the spot as part of which photography and videography of the entire area was done. The Sleuths of the agency also recreated the crime scene.
The Supreme Court and the Jharkhand High Court are also monitoring the probe therefore it will be a big challenge before the CBI to crack the case.
On the other hand the main accused in the case Lakhan Kumar Verma and Rahul Verma have been taken on five days of remand by the agency.
Investigating officer of the case Vijay Kumar Shukla had filed an application before the court of CJM Arjun Sao after which both the accused were handed on remand to CBI and the court has directed to produce the duo before it again on August 12.
Following the recommendation of the Jharkhand Government the case was handed over to the CBI which has registered an FIR in the case on the basis of statement given by the widow of the judge before Dhanbad Police on July 28. The team of the CBI also consists of experts in DNA profiling, finger prints, forensic psychology etc.
Judge Uttam Anand was killed after an autorickshaw hit him on July 28 while he was going on morning walk.
