Karnataka: Night curfew in Udupi extended till October 11

Udupi, Udupi Deputy Commissioner Kurma Rao has issued an order extending night curfew in Udupi district till October 11, officials said.
The night curfew will be effective from 10 pm to 5 am. Presently COVID positivity rate in the district is above 1%.
The measure has been taken to check the spread of COVID-19 and in order to safeguard the health of the people as the district borders Kerala state where the positive rates are higher.
The DC in his order has said that all movements are prohibited during the night curfew except for essential and emergency activities.
