Palamu EW News: Dupty Commissioner Shashi Ranjan directed all departments related to revenue to expedite revenue collection. The Dupty. Commissioner stated that there would be no tolerance for negligence in this regard. He made it clear that while removing all obstacles in revenue generation, the focus should remain on achieving the target. He instructed all relevant officials in their respective departments not to be negligent in revenue collection. He emphasized that revenue collection is a crucial part of the district’s administration. Transparency is essential in this work, and officers were directed to motivate people to make payments. The Dupty. Commissioner, along with department heads, was reviewing the current status of revenue collection in the conference hall of the Collectorate.
While reviewing the mining department, the Dupty Commissioner found that the annual target was ₹30,534.00 lakhs, whereas only ₹18,370.28 lakhs had been collected by January, which is 60.16% of the annual target. He urged the mining officials to expedite revenue collection in their sector. Regarding revenue generation, he said that whatever hindrances exist should be removed promptly to achieve the target.
Similarly, during the review of the transportation department, the Dupty Commissioner found that the department was given a target of ₹5,907.79 lakhs. So far, ₹4,576.11 lakhs have been collected by the transportation department. While reviewing the reasons for lower revenue collection, the Commissioner directed to expedite the process.
During the review of the production department, the Production Inspector informed the Dupty Commissioner that the department was given an annual revenue collection target of ₹12,100.00 lakhs, against which ₹9,091.17 lakhs had been collected by January, which is 75.13%. Reviews were also conducted for the Revenue Department, National Savings Department, Municipal Corporation, and Electricity Supply Department.
The Dupty Commissioner also reviewed pending admission-dismissal cases in the district. In cases of mutations pending for 30 and 90 days, the Commissioner instructed all regional officers to expedite them as soon as possible. He also directed the regional officers to expedite cases of mutations pending for more than 90 days in areas including Patan, Lesliganj, and Vishrampur, by inquiring into the reasons for the delay.
