Ranchi: Babulal Marandi, the BJP State President and former Chief Minister, has raised significant concerns about the Soren family and the ruling authorities in the state. Applauding the Delhi High Court’s decision to investigate the alleged illegal accumulation of wealth by the Soren family, Marandi emphasized the importance of Lokpal in eradicating corruption. He questioned why those who claim innocence hesitate to face investigative agencies and run to the High Court and Supreme Court to halt the investigations.
Marandi pointed out the historical association of corruption with Congress, JMM, and RJD, accusing them while asserting that BJP faces allegations but does not shy away from investigations. He questioned the Soren family’s contradiction of claiming innocence while avoiding scrutiny by investigative agencies. Marandi welcomed the court’s decision, stating that although delayed, it is a positive outcome.
Section 144 Violation Case against Chief Minister Hemant Soren: BJP President Raises Questions
In another development, BJP State President Babulal Marandi raised questions regarding the Section 144 violation case against Chief Minister Hemant Soren during the ED’s interrogation at his residence. Marandi asserted that the primary culprit in this case is Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who addressed a crowd amidst Section 144 restrictions, calling for legal action against him.
Marandi questioned the necessity of summoning a large number of people on the day of interrogation, alleging that some officials were deployed to disrupt the environment. He demanded transparency about the number of cases filed against individuals and emphasized that those who have unlawfully amassed wealth from the public should face legal consequences.
